Why is my garage door opener light flashing?
This can happen for several different reasons. Usually, the number of flashes indicates what the problem is. If a sensor moves out of position, the sending sensor will not transmit the infrared beam of light to the receiving sensor. When the sensors become correctly aligned, the lights on both sensors will be on.

A simple soap that is used to wash dishes will work perfectly; just make sure to rinse it off completely inside and out.
