Did You Know?
You can manually open your electric garage door from the down position in a power outage. Look for a red rope with a ‘T’ shaped handle attached to the trolley; this is the emergency release lever. Pulling this T handle will release the garage door from the chain or belt and enable manual operation. The door might have an engaged manual lock which you will need to open. Once this is complete, you can push the garage door into the open position and listen for a click that it has locked firmly into place before backing away.
